Script- first draft

This is the first draft of our script simply to give us a vague idea of what we want our actors to say, but we know that this may change on the days of filming as we'll feel more practically involved with the script and acting. The majority of the lines are simple and blunt, but this is appropriate for a teaser trailer as we don't want to give too much of the narrative away. Due to the genre of our trailer being a supernatural horror little dialogue will be used, we're focusing more on the use of music and sound effects to create a suspenseful and frightening atmosphere.

Animatic

This is our animatic video to display the first draft of our narrative; to do this we used post-it notes, a camera, iMovie and YouTube. We thought that this would be a simple yet effective way to create our story board, as we could draw a rough image of what we want to achieve in a shot as well as the shot type, angle, etc. This will be useful as it can remind us what we want to achieve and it will guide us on the day of shooting- we understand that whilst filming we may take different shots to what is planned on our storyboard as we'll get inspiration from our settings, and we'll also want to have a diversity of shots to choose from when we eventually upload them onto iMovie- but I think that this post-it note storyboard will be helpful as a guideline for what we want to achieve. 

Film title

We have decided this will be a suitable title for our supernatural horror film, due to its popularity amongst our audience in our initial audience survey but also due to it associating with the affliction of pain, torment and distress, which is present within a supernatural, and which will occur in our trailer.

 The supernatural entity is the primary source who inflicts pain and distress on the innocent characters of Morgan and Evie and even the reporter. We plan to detail Morgan's terrifying ordeal caused by the supernatural entity, but it is clear that the reporter who the audience only see a glimpse of also experiences torment at the hands of the mysterious entity. Evie's disappearance also hints that the supernatural force is responsible, yet Morgan's unsettling and horrifying ordeal is what we plan to primarily focus on.

 The supernatural entity, despite her corruptful and malevolent nature, may have also faced some form of torture in her life as to why she is now commiting malicious and violent acts of terror toward the innocent.

Survey Results
